House Points

St Mary’s operates a house system which helps to create a community spirit and gives the children an opportunity to contribute and support nominated charities. Every child and member of staff is assigned to one of four houses and house points are awarded for good behaviour, effort and achievement in the classroom and other good deeds. Pupils also participate in events and competitions to add further house points.

Each week at our Friday assembly, the House Cup is awarded for the house with the most points that week. There is also a termly prize for the winning house.

School Council

The School Council is made up of two representatives from each class across year groups 3 to 6.  Elections take place at the beginning of each academic year. Miss Black is the nominated teacher who works with the School Council in order that they provide an input into activities and initiatives across the school. They meet regularly; more information can be found in the attached document.
