The Six Curriculum Branches

Pupils journey through six curriculum branches during each year:

Creation and Covenant
Children explore God's creation, the dignity of the human person and God's covenant with humanity.

Prophecy and Promise
Children encounter the prophets and explore God's promise of salvation, culminating in the birth of Jesus.

Galilee to Jerusalem
Children learn about Jesus' ministry, teachings, miracles and call to discipleship.

Desert to Garden
Children journey through Lent and Holy Week, exploring Jesus' passion, death and resurrection.

To the Ends of the Earth
Children explore the Resurrection, Pentecost, the Holy Spirit and the mission of the Church.

Dialogue and Encounter
Children encounter other Christian traditions, religions and worldviews and learn how Catholics are called to dialogue respectfully with others.

As children revisit these branches each year, their knowledge and understanding become increasingly sophisticated, allowing them to make connections with previous learning and understand the story of salvation with greater depth.
