In Dialogue and Encounter, children learn about the importance of respectful dialogue with people of different Christian traditions, religions and worldviews. They develop their understanding of the Catholic Church's relationship with other faiths and encounter the beliefs, practices and traditions of others in an age-appropriate way. Through this branch, pupils learn to recognise both what is shared and what is distinctive, developing curiosity, knowledge and respect. Children are encouraged to see dialogue as an opportunity to listen, learn and build relationships with others while growing in their own understanding of the Catholic faith.
