Praying the Rosary
KS1 Praying the Rosary
✨ Mr Murphy taught Year 1 and 2 all about the Rosary — what it is, why we use it, and how to pray with it. The children explored the different decades of beads and learned which prayers are said along the way. 🙏
💬 “We say the Hail Mary 50 times when we pray the Rosary!” said one pupil. 💗

KS2 Praying the Rosary
All Key Stage 2 classes gathered in the hall to pray the Rosary together in celebration of the Month of the Rosary. We were joined by Therese from Holy Trinity Church, who guided the children in praying The Glorious Mysteries and deepened their understanding of this important devotion.
Pupils reverently prayed using the Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be, following the structure of the Rosary and reflecting on each mystery. The prayer concluded with the Hail, Holy Queen, and the children sang Ave Maria and Mary, Undoer of Knots, creating a beautiful atmosphere of worship and reflection.
This experience helped pupils to grow in their understanding of Marian devotion, develop confidence in personal and communal prayer, and strengthen their connection with the parish community.

Nursery Praying the Rosary
🌸 Who is Mary? 🌸
In RE, our children have been learning all about Mary and The Rosary this October
When we asked:
👶 Who is Mary?
➡️ One child said, “Mary. She is the mummy of Jesus.”
👶 Who is Jesus?
➡️ “He is the Son of God.”
👶 Who is God?
➡️ One child said, “He made the world. He made the world in seven days.”
When we asked, “Do we love Jesus and Mary?” the children replied joyfully, “Yes!” 🙏✨
We explored how the Rosary beads help us pray the Hail Mary and Our Father — the beads are held together by string, just as our faith is held together by love, and the cross reminds us of Jesus.
One child shared, “My mum taught me a new prayer,” and we recited both prayers together, learning them by heart. 💕

🌟 Year 5 & 6 Visit Holy Trinity to Learn the Rosary 🌟
Today, our wonderful Year 5 and 6 students embarked on a soulful journey at our local church, Holy Trinity. 🙏✨ Together, we learned to pray the Rosary, diving into the Luminous Mysteries on this beautiful Thursday.
The experience was truly uplifting as we recited the Apostles' Creed, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, and concluded with the heartfelt Hail Holy Queen. To make this spiritual journey even more meaningful, our eager pupils participated by reading the Luminous Mysteries themselves, fostering a sense of community and reverence.
A special thank you to Deacon James and Terese, our catechetical coordinator, for generously providing Rosaries to those who did not have their own. 💖 These cherished tokens will accompany our children on their faith journey for years to come.
It was an enriching opportunity for Year 5 and 6 to experience the profound power of prayer and understand how awe-inspiring it can be to engage in the Rosary together.
